AT&T is offering cash and credit for customers to leave T-Mobile. Sprint, too. Literally buying customers now. Is the cell world that flat?
Wall Street acts like this is the first time AT&T has done this. For years, AT&T has had a promotion to target all of its competitors – tw telecom, Comcast, TWC and others. Any time a rep for AT&T can get a copy of a competitive quote, there are numerous promotional options to target that prospect to steal the business away from the competitor.
It’s funny to me that this is making news in cellular – unless AT&T wanted to get the word out without paying for ads.
